Seungmoon Choi

Seungmoon Choi is a professor and department head in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) in South Korea. He also holds a concurrent professorship in the Department of Convergence IT Engineering at POSTECH. He leads the POSTECH Interactive Robotic lab (POINT) and the Human Cognition-Intelligence Augmentation Research Center (hCIA). Professor Choi’s interdisciplinary research spans areas including haptics, human-computer interaction (HCI), virtual reality (VR), robotics, and perception. His work is dedicated to developing intuitive, effective, and innovative human-computer interaction technologies, advancing physical interaction with computers, robots, automobiles, and electronic devices. Professor Choi has made significant contributions to the field of haptics and has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the IEEE Early Career Award and multiple Best Paper Awards at international conferences.
