Angelique Taylor

Dr. Angelique Taylor is an Assistant Professor in the Information Science Department at Cornell Tech and the Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Laboratory (AIRLab). Her research focuses on the intersection of robotics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on developing robots and augmented reality systems capable of perceiving and modeling human groups in real-world, safety-critical environments. Dr. Taylor holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and her work has earned a series of accolades including the Google Award for Inclusion Research, the Microsoft Paper Award, and the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship. Her research has advanced applications of medical robotics in settings such as emergency rooms, and she is committed to enhancing the practicality of robotics technology through community-driven design approaches. As an educator, she is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of researchers.
