Sayamindu Dasgupta

Sayamindu Dasgupta is a scholar specializing in data literacy, digital media and learning, and human-computer interaction. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) at the University of Washington. His research focuses on improving data literacy and programming skills among children and students without a computer science background through programming and technological tools. He has contributed to multiple research projects related to the Scratch community and programming education, earning several award nominations and honors. His work also explores socially embedded collaboration, algorithmic literacy, and cross-cultural knowledge production.
