Jun Kato

Jun Kato is a renowned researcher in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), currently a Senior Researcher at Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and a Technical Advisor for Arch Research. His research focuses on enhancing human creativity by improving programming experiences (PX) and constructing creative support environments, with special interest in how AI can foster the sustainable development of creative cultural ecosystems. He has led the development of widely praised tools such as TextAlive and Griffith, and has experience working at Microsoft and Adobe Research. Jun Kato earned his PhD in 2014 from the University of Tokyo, and his academic achievements have been recognized with several international awards, including ACM CHI Honorable Mention Awards.
