Stephen A Brewster

Stephen Brewster is an internationally renowned professor in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and currently works at the School of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow. He is a member of the Glasgow Interactive Systems Section and leads the Multimodal Interaction research group. His research focuses on areas such as multimodal HCI, audio and haptic feedback, gesture input, accessibility design, and interaction technologies for mobile devices and in-car systems. He has made significant contributions to non-speech audio (e.g., earcons) and haptic feedback design, with over 500 academic papers published. His research has been widely applied in fields like virtual reality, augmented reality, and assistive robotics.
