Daniela Petrelli

Daniela Petrelli is a Professor of Interaction Design at Sheffield Hallam University and a core member of the Digital Materiality Lab. Her research focuses on the fields of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Interaction Design, with a particular emphasis on exploring the fusion of digital technology and the physical world. She has conducted in-depth research on digital experiences in cultural heritage and museums, using tangible interaction, data physicalization, and personalization technologies to enhance sensory experiences and visitor engagement. Her work often employs user-centered design approaches such as co-design and field studies to create interactive systems with deeper meaning and emotional connection.
