Martin Tomitsch

Martin Tomitsch is a professor and Head of School at the Transdisciplinary School (TD School) of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He has 20 years of extensive experience in design education, design research, and workshop facilitation. His research focuses on human-computer interaction (HCI), urban interaction design, media architecture, and improving livability in smart cities through emerging technologies, while advancing human-centered innovative design and exploring responsible innovation methods. He held various leadership positions in the Design Lab at the University of Sydney's School of Architecture, Design and Planning, including Program Director of the Bachelor of Design Computing and Head of the Design School. Martin has also founded several nonprofit organizations, such as the Austrian Network for Information and Communication Technology Development, the Global Media Architecture Institute, and the Life-Centered Design Collective, and has published multiple books on design, including Designing Tomorrow.
