Laewoo Kang

Laewoo Leo Kang is an independent Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) researcher and multimedia artist. His research and practice explore how artistic practices can serve as effective models for learning and research in computing and the broader STEM fields. With a Ph.D. in Information Science from Cornell University, he integrates interdisciplinary perspectives from engineering, art, and the humanities. Kang's research focuses on supporting nonlinear and multi-sensory learners through approaches like improvisation, technological aesthetics, and collaborative art, aiming to foster richer socio-technical learning forms and deeper understanding in the field of human-computer interaction.
