Rhianne Jones

Dr. Rhianne Jones is a member of the BBC R&D team with over ten years of experience in public media technology research. She is dedicated to exploring how technological innovation can uphold and strengthen the values of public media. Recently, she was awarded the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship, with funding of £1.9 million to establish the "Responsible Innovation Centre for the Future of Public Media (RIC)." Her research focuses on AI ethics, the design of public media technology, and the societal impact of datafication. Rhianne aims to drive deep research to address ethical, editorial, and social impacts of technology on public media, fostering new forms of public value through its application in the public domain.
