Hongbo Fu

Professor Hongbo Fu is a prominent researcher in computer graphics and human-computer interaction. He currently serves as the Acting Director of the Division of Art and Machine Creativity at HKUST and holds a joint professorship in the Department of Computer Science and Division of Computational Media and Arts. Renowned for his significant contributions to computer graphics and HCI, he has published over 100 scientific papers, with more than 50 featured in top-tier conferences and journals. His research encompasses advanced shape analysis and synthesis, sketch understanding, sketch-based interaction interfaces, and mobile interaction technologies. Many of his works have been recognized as highlights at SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia, and he has been awarded Best Paper Awards at conferences such as CAD/Graphics and UIST. Additionally, he has held vital organizational and program committee roles at various international conferences and has served as an associate editor for several leading international journals.
