Khalad Hasan

Mohammad Khalad Hasan is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus and the Co-Director of the Master of Data Science program. His research focuses on the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), with a primary goal of exploring and designing new interaction methods for mobile and wearable devices, such as smartphones, smartwatches, and head-mounted displays. He is dedicated to addressing the challenges that arise during interactions on small-screen devices, achieving notable results in areas such as gesture input, AR/VR interaction, and information visualization. Dr. Hasan earned his Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba and worked as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo. His research has been widely published in top-tier international conferences such as CHI and UIST.
