Nathan McNeese

Nathan J. McNeese is the Vice President for Technology and Innovation and the McQueen Quattlebaum Professor in Human-Centered Computing at Clemson University, as well as the founding director of Clemson University's Center for Human-AI Interaction, Collaboration, and Teams Research (CU-CHAI). His research focuses on human collaboration with artificial intelligence, making pivotal contributions in areas such as team cognition, trust, ethics, and the development of human-centered AI systems. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the NSF CAREER award, and has led or contributed to more than 30 research projects with total funding exceeding $41 million. He has published over 200 papers in top journals and conferences in the fields of HCI and human factors, with multiple nominations for best paper awards. As a member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's Board on Human-Systems Integration (BOHSI), he plays a significant role in shaping the future directions of AI and human collaboration.
