Andrés Monroy-Hernández

Andrés Monroy-Hernández is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Princeton University, where he serves as Director of the Princeton Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCI Lab). His work focuses on human-computer interaction and social computing, designing and studying innovative technologies that enable millions of people to connect and collaborate. He led the creation of the Scratch online community at MIT, which has empowered millions of children to learn programming. He has also held leadership roles at Microsoft Research’s FUSE Labs and Snap Research, developing multiple augmented reality and wearable social technologies. His research has earned Best Paper awards at leading conferences such as CHI and CSCW and has been widely featured in media outlets like The New York Times and The Economist. He has been recognized by CNET as one of the most influential Latinos in tech and included in MIT Technology Review's Innovators Under 35 list.
