Hao-Chuan Wang

Hao-Chuan Wang is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Davis, and teaches in the Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate program. His primary research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Social Computing, and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), with particular interest in hybrid and remote collaboration, technology-supported social interaction, and human-AI collaboration. His research approach combines technical development with interdisciplinary behavioral science methodologies to address the gap between technology and society. He has extensive experience in designing collaborative systems across domains such as video communication, online education, and team collaboration. Additionally, he has significantly contributed to higher education and research in both Taiwan and the United States, including his tenure at National Tsing Hua University.
