Max Mühlhäuser

Max Mühlhäuser is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Technische Universität Darmstadt and serves as the director of the Telecooperation Lab. His research spans smart environments, future internet, edge computing, privacy, and trust, covering areas from smart mixed reality scenarios to developing smart cities and critical infrastructures. With over 35 years of experience in academia, Professor Max has authored more than 700 peer-reviewed papers and actively contributes to organizing and editing various international conferences and journals. He also leads numerous national and international projects, including EU, German Research Foundation (DFG), and industry-funded initiatives. As a pioneer in the fields of privacy and trust, distributed systems, and human-computer interaction, he has significantly influenced research on smart products and security.
