Sarita Schoenebeck

Sarita Schoenebeck is a professor at the University of Michigan School of Information and the director of the Living Online Lab. Her research focuses on fostering safe and equitable online experiences through technology, especially in the fields of social media and human-computer interaction. Her work spans topics such as reducing online harassment, technology privacy, and ethics policies, and she has proposed restorative justice approaches to address online harassment. She is an ACM Distinguished Member, a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award, and has been honored multiple times with Best Paper Awards at CHI and CSCW. Her research has been widely featured in mainstream media such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and NPR.
