Ari Hautasaari

Ari Hautasaari is currently a Project Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, The University of Tokyo, specializing in interdisciplinary research on informatics and social interaction. His research areas include multilingual communication and collaboration, socio-emotional communication, and the social support and mental health of international students. Additionally, he conducts in-depth research on Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC), and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). Ari holds a PhD in Informatics from Kyoto University and an MSc in Science from the University of Oulu. He has held various significant positions in academia and industry, making outstanding contributions to the fields of social informatics and HCI.
