Noura Howell

Noura Howell is an Assistant Professor in the Digital Media program at Georgia Institute of Technology, with a secondary appointment in the School of Interactive Computing. Her research centers on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), focusing on advancing the ethics and inclusivity of AI and biodata systems through emotions, embodied experience, and imagination. Her work blends technology development with sociocultural exploration, designing prototypes that support data ethics and tackling complex technological issues. She has received multiple honors, including the NSF CAREER Award, and is dedicated to enriching public understanding of affective AI while driving innovation and applications in diverse communities.
