Yatharth Singhal

Dr. Yatharth Singhal is a lecturer in the Department of Medical Physics and Engineering at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in research on virtual reality and human-computer interaction. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in Noida, India, and subsequently earned his master’s and doctoral degrees in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Singhal's research primarily focuses on enhancing user immersion through the design of multimodal systems, particularly by utilizing sensory feedback such as thermal and haptic responses to improve realism and intuitive interaction in virtual environments. His work has made significant contributions to the advancement of the virtual reality field, particularly in the integration and application of haptic and thermal feedback.
