Erin Solovey

Erin Treacy Solovey is a computer scientist specializing in Human-Computer Interaction and Human-AI Interaction. She currently serves as an Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Her research focuses on developing natural, intelligent, and adaptive interaction systems, drawing from emerging input technologies such as brain-computer interfaces, physiological computing, textile sensing, and radar techniques. Solovey’s work aims to enhance collaboration with intelligent systems in high-risk environments while also addressing accessible design, particularly in support of the Deaf community. Her contributions span various fields, including education, healthcare, transportation, gaming, and complex decision-making. She has received numerous accolades, including the Computing Innovation Fellowship and Best Paper Awards.
