Crystal Lee

Crystal Lee is an Assistant Professor of Computational Media and Design at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), holding a joint appointment in the Schwarzman College of Computing and the Comparative Media Studies/Writing Department. Her research spans a range of topics, including technology ethics, social media, data visualization, and disability studies. She is also a fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and a Senior Fellow at Mozilla. Her research has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Social Science Research Council (SSRC), and MIT's Digital Humanities program. Crystal Lee graduated from Stanford University and completed her PhD at MIT, receiving high academic honors.
