Andrew Howes

Professor Andrew Howes is a cognitive scientist specializing in human-computer interaction, artificial intelligence, and modeling human cognition. He currently teaches at the School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham, and serves as a visiting researcher at the Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence (FCAI). His research aims to explore human decision-making behavior through computational models and develop artificial intelligence systems that enhance human life. He has held positions at several globally renowned institutions, including the University of Michigan Department of Psychology and Carnegie Mellon University Department of Psychology. His work has been supported by various international funding bodies, including the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Army Research Laboratory (ARL), and the European Union (EU).
