Mayara Costa Figueiredo

Dr. Mayara Costa Figueiredo graduated from the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, specializing in Health Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction, and Collaborative Computing. Her research focuses on exploring how data tracking technologies support and influence individuals' health information needs and behaviors, especially among groups often overlooked in healthcare systems and the tech industry. She investigates the uses of patient-generated health data and analyzes its effects on personal health behaviors, social relationships, as well as technical, policy, and societal factors.
