Ching-Yi Tsai

Ching-Yi Tsai is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at Princeton University, advised by Professor Parastoo Abtahi. Her work focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), exploring areas such as virtual reality, mixed reality, and innovative interaction design for tangible user interfaces. She aims to discover novel interaction methods and interface designs, with her research being published in top academic conferences like ACM CHI and UIST, earning Best Paper Awards and Honorable Mentions. Ching-Yi earned her Master’s degree from National Taiwan University under the advisement of Professor Mike Yen Chen. She has also worked as a research assistant in the HCI lab at the University of Waterloo and the CPL lab at National Taiwan University. In her free time, she is a passionate jazz saxophone performer.
