Xiaoyi Zhang

Dr. Xiaoyi Zhang is currently engaged in HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) and AI research and product development at A (Anthropic). Previously, she served as a senior researcher and manager at Apple (2018-2024), leading teams to develop user-friendly tools for ML engineers to optimize and test AI models. Her contributions at Apple include developing iOS accessibility features supporting 20 million blind users and low-latency ML model tools for Vision Pro. Dr. Zhang holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Washington, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction, and has interned at Google Research and Microsoft Research. Her research spans HCI, machine learning development tools, model optimization, and user interface accessibility. She has published over 25 academic papers, received two Best Paper Awards, and holds five patents.
