Helen Fisher

Helen Fisher is an inclusive design researcher specializing in the fields of health and social care. Currently, she works at the Lab4Living at Sheffield Hallam University, focusing on improving people’s experiences in health, dementia, and end-of-life care through design. Her career began at the Edinburgh College of Art, followed by human-centered design research at the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the Royal College of Art (RCA). In recent years, she has focused on collaborative projects such as Life Café and Journeying Through Dementia, which aim to foster societal discussions and support around end-of-life care and dementia. Her research outcomes have not only enhanced community engagement but have also been applied in both teaching and practice at universities across the UK.
