Eric J. Gonzalez

Eric J. Gonzalez is a research scientist at Google’s Blended Interaction Research & Devices (BIRD) lab, focused on advancing spatial computing and mixed reality technologies through novel input and interaction methods, real-time AI collaborative experiences, and enhancing human perception. He holds a PhD from Stanford University, where he conducted in-depth research on haptic enhancement and perceptual illusions in virtual reality. Eric has interned with Microsoft Research’s EPIC Group and Meta Reality Labs Research’s Haptic Displays Team, contributing to research in augmented reality and haptic interaction. With over 25 academic publications, his work has received accolades at top-tier HCI conferences, including SIGCHI special recognition honors.
