Dasom Choi

Dasom Choi is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Industrial Design at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and a research member of the DxD Lab, under the supervision of Professor Hwajung Hong. Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and accessibility design, aiming to develop inclusive AI systems through humane design, empowering minority groups to actively participate in social life while preserving their unique identities and sense of self. Her work prioritizes the neurodiverse community and explores the potential of AI in fostering self-discovery and advocacy through social interactions. Her research has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Best Paper Award at the CHI conference. She is currently seeking research opportunities in academic and industrial fields.
