Alexis Hope

Dr. Alexis Hope is a designer and researcher passionate about creating experiences of joy, creativity, and self-compassion through design. She is the co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Focused Space, a social platform that helps people achieve personal, professional, and creative goals. She worked at the MIT Media Lab for ten years and earned her PhD in 2021. Her research spans numerous fields, including deep-sea exploration cameras, creative learning software for children, astronaut art-making tools, and low-cost ultrasound devices. Additionally, she has launched projects like the "Trash Club" and the "Make the Breast Pump Not Suck" hackathon, initiatives aimed at solving social challenges through creative design. As a musician, she also contributes to and performs with two bands.
