Steve Benford

Steve Benford is Dunford Professor of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham and co-founder of its Mixed Reality Laboratory. He is a UKRI-funded Turing AI World-Leading Researcher Fellow undertaking the five-year “Somabotics: Creatively Embodying Artificial Intelligence” programme, and directs the EPSRC-funded Horizon Centre for Doctoral Training. His research collaborates with artists to create, tour and study interactive artworks that provoke human meaning-making, interweaving artificial intelligence, robotics and mixed reality.
