Sarah Inman

Sarah Inman is a scholar specializing in data ethnography and environmental science. She currently works as a researcher at Google and is a PhD candidate in the Department of Human-Computer Interaction and Engineering at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on the production of scientific knowledge in the context of rapidly changing climates, with a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and the sociotechnical practices of data. Sarah has explored the social dynamics of data cleaning and archival management in the Salmon and People Project (SASAP) in Alaska and has worked to improve the accessibility and equity of scientific data through data visualization and communication methods. Her research has been widely published in ACM CHI, Design Research Society, and Ecology and Society, among others.
