Luke Franzke

Luke Franzke is a lecturer in the Interaction Design program at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and leads the Physical Computing Lab. With years of experience in user interface design and development, he joined the Enactive Environments research group through the university's Master's program in Interaction Design, exploring novel interface forms based on transient materials. His research areas include interaction design, human-computer interaction, wearable technology, and the applications of material science, with a particular focus on the role of emerging material technologies in these fields. As a researcher and PhD candidate, he also teaches physical computing, programming, creative coding, and conceptual approaches to material practice and embodiment within design.
