Houjiang Liu

Houjiang Liu is a Ph.D. student at the School of Information at The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in research related to AI ethics, service design, and human-centered design. His work encompasses the application of natural language processing technologies in fact-checking, AI-assisted design methodologies, and design principles for enhancing technological literacy among older adults. His scholarly contributions include multiple papers published in top academic conferences and journals, addressing topics such as the role of AI in scientific knowledge production, the role of design in fostering community engagement, and mitigating cognitive bias through multi-stakeholder debates. He has also collaborated on various interdisciplinary projects aimed at addressing social issues through design.
