Susanne Bødker

Susanne Bødker is a renowned scholar in the field of Human-Computer Interaction and currently serves as a professor in the Computer Science Department at Aarhus University. She is one of the pioneers of Participatory Design, focusing on improving user interfaces and human-computer interaction systems through Activity Theory and Cooperative Design. She conducted HCI research at PARC (1982-1983) and has published numerous influential papers and works, including Participatory Design: Principles and Practices and Applying Activity Theory to Video Analysis. Her research has advanced the development of third-wave HCI and laid the theoretical foundation for the application of Participatory Design in system development.
