Abdallah El Ali

Abdallah El Ali is a research scientist specializing in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and a part-time assistant professor. He currently works at the Distributed & Interactive Systems (DIS) group at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in the Netherlands, and holds a part-time assistant professor position at the Multimedia Group of Utrecht University. His research focuses on affective interaction systems and trustworthy human-AI interaction, particularly in AI transparency and applications in media. He previously completed postdoctoral work at the University of Oldenburg in Germany and earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Amsterdam. He serves as the Chair of CHI Nederland, promoting HCI research and practice in the Netherlands.
