Noshir Contractor

Noshir Contractor is an Indian-American network scientist currently holding the position of Jane S. & William J. White Professor of Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University. He also serves on the faculty of the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science, the School of Communication, and the Kellogg School of Management. He is the Director of the Science of Networks in Communities (SONIC) Research Group and the Executive Director of the Web Science Trust (WST). His interdisciplinary research focuses on network science, computational social science, and social network analysis, exploring how social and knowledge networks form and operate in businesses, scientific environments, healthcare, and space exploration. His work has been extensively funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), NIH, NASA, DARPA, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among others. He has authored over 250 scholarly articles and has received numerous academic accolades, including the NCA Distinguished Scholar Award, ICA Fellow recognition, and IIT Madras Distinguished Alumnus Award.
