April Tyack

Dr. April Tyack is a distinguished scholar specializing in Game Studies and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). She earned her PhD from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), focusing her research on applying Self-Determination Theory to explore player experiences, well-being, and restorative games. Her doctoral dissertation examines how video games can promote short-term well-being by fulfilling players' basic psychological needs.
