Conor Linehan

Conor Linehan is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Psychology at University College Cork and a member of the People and Technology Research Group. His research expertise lies in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), focusing on the psychological aspects of how people interact with technology. He has a keen interest in gamification and how games can support teaching and learning on complex topics. Conor's major academic contribution involves translating concepts from psychology research literature into formats useful for designers and engineers, applied in areas such as educational games, health interventions, and behavior change technologies. He has published over 160 peer-reviewed papers, which have been cited more than 4,000 times, and has been involved in research projects valued at over €2.8 million.
