Larissa Pschetz

Dr. Larissa Pschetz is a Senior Lecturer at the Design Informatics department of the University of Edinburgh. She is an experienced interaction designer dedicated to research in areas such as time, ecology, biodesign, and inclusive technology. Her work emphasizes the exploration of socio-technical narratives, interaction with autonomous systems, and the inclusivity of technology, with a particular focus on temporality and ecology. Dr. Pschetz proposed the concept of "Time Design," investigating how design can challenge and reshape societal, cultural, and environmental forces through various dimensions of time. She has worked at IBM Watson, Microsoft Research (Cambridge, UK and Asia), and several interaction design companies in Germany. In academia, she has published a significant number of high-impact papers and has served as an editor, co-chair, and reviewer in design and human-computer interaction fields. She currently teaches product design courses and supervises practice-based PhD research.
