Katrien Verbert

Katrien Verbert is a professor of Human-Computer Interaction at the Faculty of Engineering Science and the Department of Computer Science at KU Leuven, Belgium. She is also a member of the Augment research group. Her research focuses on visualization techniques, recommender systems, Explainable AI, and visual analytics. She has contributed to several EU and Flemish projects, such as EU ROLE, STELLAR, STELA, ABLE, LALA, among others, and has served as chair, program committee member, or workshop organizer at various international conferences and workshops. Her work lies at the intersection of visualization techniques and artificial intelligence, making significant contributions to enhancing user experience and transparency.
