Measuring Response Rate and Increasing Satisfaction in Innovative Environments: The Impact of Feedback

Engineering productivity has been a popular topic of discussion from both an employee and employer perspective. Through rigorous experimentation and multi-methods approach, alongside subjective responses, we saw significant improvements in our engineering system. This paper reflects over a year of learnings on methods to increase response rates and designing surveys for monitoring and impacting both efficiency and satisfaction for internal developers. Measuring these concepts became important as we were making significant changes to our engineering system. These methods can be applied in other contexts to increase response rates and monitor satisfaction overtime.
