Magdalena Glas

Magdalena Glas is a researcher specializing in cybersecurity, currently serving as a postdoctoral researcher under the Information Systems chair at the University of Regensburg. Her research focuses on human-centric security and privacy issues, particularly in enhancing organizational cybersecurity capabilities through Cyber Ranges. In 2025, she successfully obtained her doctoral degree, with her thesis titled "Authentic Learning in Organizational Cybersecurity," which explored how Cyber Ranges simulating real-world systems can aid individuals in identifying and mitigating cyberattacks. During her PhD, she was involved in the INSIST project, dedicated to protecting the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) by developing Industrial Security Operation Centers. Additionally, she worked on improving the efficiency of cybersecurity training using visual programming languages. Her research outcomes have been published in several international conferences and journals with significant impact.
