Mahmood Jasim

Mahmood Jasim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Louisiana State University. His research spans Human-Computer Interaction, Information Visualization, Digital Civics, Applied Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he earned several awards, including Best Paper Awards and Research Fellowships. His work focuses on addressing sociotechnical challenges through technology design, fostering community participation, and analyzing feedback. His research has been published in several top-tier international conferences and has gained widespread recognition in the academic community.
