Ian Craddock

Professor Ian Craddock is an academic leader in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bristol and an internationally recognized expert in digital health. He previously served as the Managing Director of Toshiba Research Europe Ltd, where he led several interdisciplinary teams focusing on the application of wireless communication, IoT technology, and radar electromagnetic imaging in healthcare. He is the director of the SPHERE project, which aims to develop sensor-based home health monitoring systems, supported by funding exceeding £16M. His research contributions include the development of early cancer detection technologies and innovations in low-power wireless communication and data fusion. He has been honored as a Fellow of the IEEE and IET, recognizing his outstanding achievements in electromagnetic imaging technology and team leadership.
