Eric J Gonzalez

Eric J. Gonzalez is a Research Scientist at Google's Blended Interaction Research & Devices (BIRD) Lab, dedicated to advancing human-computer interaction in the domain of extended reality (XR). His research focuses on novel input and interaction technologies, real-time AI-driven experiences, and technologies that enhance human perception. He has published over 25 academic papers. Eric earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University, where his research centered on enhancing haptic experiences in virtual reality through haptic displays and perceptual illusions. He has received multiple honors at top-tier HCI conferences worldwide, including the SIGCHI Best Paper Honorable Mention.
