Anamaria Crisan

Anamaria Crisan is a researcher specializing in the intersection of data visualization and data science, as well as an expert in human-computer collaboration and machine learning system development. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. She previously worked as a Research Scientist at Salesforce and earned her PhD in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia. Her research focuses on fostering collaboration between humans and AI/ML systems through visual interfaces, with applications in bioinformatics and cancer genomics.
