Hyanghee Park

Hyanghee Park is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She holds a PhD in Communications from Seoul National University, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Her research focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human-Computer Interaction, with an emphasis on the application of AI in workplaces and the socio-technical challenges it presents, including algorithmic management and the adoption of metaverse workspaces. Her interdisciplinary research has garnered multiple recognized honors domestically and internationally, including selection for the EECS Rising Stars program hosted by MIT and Boston University in 2025, as well as a Best Paper Honorable Mention at ACM CHI. Her research aims to advance socio-technical systems by designing responsible and ethical AI systems through a multi-level, human-centered approach.
