Youn-kyung Lim

Professor Youn-kyung Lim is a full professor in the Department of Industrial Design at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and served as the Vice President for Student Affairs and Policy at KAIST (2021). She has extensive research and teaching experience in the fields of user experience design, interaction design, and human-computer interaction, with a particular focus on human-centered design, interaction prototyping, and qualitative design research. Professor Lim received her master's and doctoral degrees from the IIT Institute of Design and was a visiting professor at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research has been widely published and spans areas such as aesthetic interaction design, smart device interaction for home environments, and technology for health interventions. Additionally, she serves as a board member for multiple leading international academic journals and has been actively involved in organizing international academic conferences. Her work has significantly influenced both the theoretical understanding and practical applications in design and human-computer interaction.
