Jane Cleland-Huang

Jane Cleland-Huang is an internationally renowned software engineering scholar, currently serving as Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. She also holds the title of Frank M. Freimann Professor of Computer Science. Her research spans software requirements engineering, software traceability, assurance, as well as the development and evolution of cyber-physical systems. She has led several important research projects, including the DroneResponse project, a system for managing and monitoring the flight of small drones, with significant contributions to smart communities and emergency response domains. Moreover, she has received multiple honors within the academic community and serves on the editorial boards of leading journals such as IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering and Requirements Engineering Journal. She has authored several academic books and has profoundly influenced the field of software engineering.
