Benedict Salazar Olgado

Benedict Salazar Olgado (Bono) is an archivist, human rights documentation specialist, and educator, focusing on the intersection of archives, information infrastructures, and social justice. He currently serves as a Senior Documentation Officer at HURIDOCS, providing documentation and technical support to human rights organizations worldwide. His research delves into the datafication of the politics of memory, analyzing how databases as memory infrastructures impact justice practices and political dynamics in post-trauma societies. As an educator, he teaches courses on archival studies, information ethics, and human-computer interaction at the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies. Bono also leads several interdisciplinary research projects and engages actively in social movements and human rights advocacy across the Global South. His academic work spans multiple fields, including archival studies, science and technology studies, and film and media studies, published in leading journals and conferences.
